FAQ

What importers and exporters ask us

Do I need a customs broker to import into Chile?

Yes. For imports above USD 3,000 FOB, Chilean regulation requires a licensed customs broker. Below that amount you may file directly with Customs.

How long does an import clearance take?

It depends on the cargo and inspections. With complete documents and no observations, a clearance can be processed in a few days. The key to avoiding delays is declaration quality: correct classification, complete paperwork and permits filed on time.

What is the AEO certification and why does it matter?

The Authorized Economic Operator is a certification from the Chile National Customs Service accrediting, after an audit by the authority, that the operator's processes are secure and compliant. Working with an AEO agency means working with an audited link in the chain. Learn about our certification →

What documents do I need to import?

Generally: commercial invoice, transport document (BL, AWB or waybill), packing list and the product permits (for example SAG or Sernapesca, where applicable).

In which cities and ports do you operate?

Head office in Viña del Mar and coverage from Arica to Punta Arenas with our own staff: Arica, Iquique, Antofagasta, Los Andes, Valparaíso, Santiago Airport, Santiago – Las Condes, San Antonio, Talcahuano, Puerto Montt and Punta Arenas. See the network →
